After two red flag stoppages and several safety-car-periods, it was Lewis Hamilton who won in an action packed race, which saw non – stop rain, multiple crashes, some almost fatal, Hamilton led a very controlled race at the front, with no attacks by Rosberg at the re start,  Rosberg not needing to take any risks at the start, all he needs to do is finish 2nd in Abu Dhabi and the race is his.

Force India, were up for a podium position, but was on very old tyres that would past their best, with Max Verstappen on a much newer set which had all the grip to go on a last 10 lap charge, Force India, have now wrapped up 4th in the Championship.

Sauber having a very poor season, was heading for a plum last position, have scored two points, now ahead of Manor, which they badly need.
